Strong, beautiful birch ply
Our furniture kits are made out of birch plywood. We use a combination of 18mm, 12mm and 6mm for different applications.
Birch is a dense plywood with excellent strength properties and beautiful grain, it has a solid core that can be sanded and oiled to give a fine finish.
We use high quality BB/BB grade FSC Certified European Birch, however even this quality does have some imperfections such as patches and knots.
Formica
To give some additional durability to high traffic areas, like worktops and tables, we offer an optional upgrade to a Formica faced
birch panel. This is a melamine laminate that resists staining and water damage incredibly well.

We also offer the option of adding Oak plywood to our sofa-beds, creating a beautiful contrast between the darker brown of the Oak and lighter coloured Birch panels.
This plywood is a birch core with real Oak veneers on the front and rear faces.
